The original reiserfsprogs was very poorly implemented.  Yura's
progsreiserfs is *much* better.  We were hoping that the original
reiserfsprogs would be retired.  Since Yura wrote the reiser4 userland
code (inspired by the design of progsreiserfs), this effectively
happened for the long-term, but not short-term...
