Attempting to create partition on new secondary slave drive (20 Gig 
Seagate).
Operating system: Fedora core 1
Hardware: AMD Duron 800, 256MB DRAM, Gygabyte GA-7VKMLS mainboard with 
VIA KM266 chipset

command line: parted -i /dev/hdd2 mkpartfs ext2

or using mkpart, mkfs, mklabel

message:

Assertion (dev->length > 0) at linux.c:693 in function init_file() failed.
Ignore/Cancel?
