You found a bug in GNU Parted. Please email a bug report to address@hidden containing the version (1.6.9), and the following message:
The sector size on /dev/hdc is 2048 bytes. Parted is known not to work properly with drives with sector sizes other than 512 bytes
Floating point exception
It is probably important to note that I am running Fedora Core 2 under a virtual environment (using VMware workstation 4).
