So, I wrote the gnu webmaster because I could't find the parted root images.

I can find says that there should be a file called parted-{version}.img" on

Hello,
as far as I know all required files are there:
* ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/parted/bootdisk/
partroot-1.6.6.gz 1181 KB 28.02.2004 00:00:00
This is the file you need. Just unzip it and dd it to a fresh floppy.
But to be sure, please ask on the GNU Parted mailing list:
address@hidden (http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-parted).
Regards,
Thorsten
So, I tried this already, and the unzipped file is 3.9M. So, it can't
possibly have been intended to fit on a floppy disk. The boot disk
image in ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/parted/bootdisk/ does not appear to
support CD-ROM drives, so it seems illogical that the file was intended
to fit on a CD-ROM.
Is there any possibility that this is the wrong file?
Where can I find the right root image?
Thanks.
