HFS+ resize success report (parted_1.6.21-1ubuntu3)

I used parted from the Ubuntu install CD to resize a whole-disk
(74 GB) HFS+ partition to 68 GB.  After a few minutes, it printed
"An extent has not been relocated."  It may have printed this a
few times, i don't remember.  At the end, it said that resizing
failed.  I rebooted, but the system couldn't get past the Apple
logo on gray screen.  Rebooting a second time worked, and i
verified that nothing in Mac OS X was broken.

So, i booted the Ubuntu install CD and tried again.  This time it
completed with no error messages.  The filesystem had been
correctly resized, and two operating systems have been happy
since then.
