I build 1.7.1-2 from http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/p/parted/parted_1.7.1.orig.tar.gz with debian patches and got the same error:
/usr/local/sbin/parted /dev/hda GNU Parted 1.7.1 Using /dev/hda Welcome to GNU Parted! Type 'help' to view a list of commands. (parted) print Error: Unable to satisfy all constraints on the partition. (parted) Information: Don't forget to update /etc/fstab, if necessaryThis bug might affects sparc64 which also uses pseudo BSD disklabel for its partition table.
