parted resize bug ?

Hello,

I've a strange behaviour of parted:
parted /dev/sdc
GNU Parted 1.8.9
Using /dev/sdc

(parted) print free

Disk /dev/sdc: 3750GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B

(parted) resize

Why partition now 1550GB instead of 3750GB?
Is it possible to fix it?
