FYI,
I'm planning to release parted-2.4 tomorrow.
It will include everything on master as of now,
probably with a last-minute update from gnulib.
I've finished all of the code changes to remove all
FS-manipulating code from parted, including resize
support for all file system types. The only FS-related
methods that remain are those to probe a file system.
Those bits are to identify file system types, and may
also go away if I can make libblkid functions take
their place. For now that work is on a separate branch,
and I have begun adjusting the documentation to reflect
the removal of sub-commands like resize, cp, check, etc.
Once 2.4 is out, I'll remove all FS-manipulating code
and make a test release, planning on another "real" release
fairly soon afterwards.
