Hi,
not a real bug but this file is still being shipped:
-rw-r--r-- chet/wheel 13989 2008-08-11 16:31 readline-6.2/support/wcwidth.c
while I do not see how it could be used. Could it be removed?
rlmbutil.h does not define HANDLE_MULTIBYTE if !defined (HAVE_WCWIDTH).
There was a patch to use wcwidth.c in the past but I do not see it applied in
readline-6.2. The time the patch was posted HAVE_WCWIDTH was not
a prerequisite for HANDLE_MULTIBYTE as currently is.
[Patch] correctly configure wcwidth in readline
http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2003-02/msg00707.html
http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2003-03/msg00043.html
Tested readline-6.2 on Fedora 14 x86_64 no reference to wcwidth happens when
configure does not find wcwidth.
Thanks,
Jan
