Be careful what you wish for. This would mean that several common Unix
idioms would take much more work to delete. For instance, it would take
many invocations of ^W to erase all of
host.remote.domain:/path/on/remote/host
Maybe the best thing to do, since we are so close to bash-4.4/readline-7.0,
is to leave the default unchanged but allow users to bind
vi-unix-line-discard to ^W.
