I am unaware of this.  What keystroke and why does it work?

My goal was to make the current explanation more concise and
clear.  With the existing readline, there's clearly more going
on with bracketed paste more than just literal character insertion.
There's the whole business with having to press newline to
accept, and hilighting/whatever, and the whole (new?) "active region"
concept.  So more docs are needed.

But I'm interested in splitting the "don't respond to newlines in
the paste" feature out from bracketed paste.  I wanted to clear up the 
"core" docs of bracketed paste before addressing other issues.
