[Bug-tar] 2 regression test failures on solaris build

There were 2 failures among the regression tests for gnu tar in a fresh
build: incremen.sh and listed01.sh.  Is it unsafe for me to use this
version of tar?  Attached is the config.log from the build. I am happy
to send more data on the build if you like.

Environment:
$ gcc --version
2.95.2

$ uname -a
SunOS rsdev 5.8 Generic_117000-03 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-480R Solaris
