Hello
i just noticed a bug in the documentation of tar, present in both the
man page and the --help message, in the GERMAN locale. (i didn't check
the english version, as the -L option for man does not seem to be
supported -- sorry). The bug is as follows:
The documentation talks about "--no-recurse" where it should say
"--no-recursion". Or, from a different point of view, tar does not
recognize the "--no-recurse" option. This cost me a couple of minutes
and some nerves... the world would be a better place if this was fixed ;-)
version from the man page: GNU tar 1.13.22
version from tar --version: tar (GNU tar) 1.13.25
fwiw, i'm running redhat 9 with a load of fedora-packets installed.
thank you very much,
daniel
