Subject: | [Bug-tar] Arithmetic exception by file deletion form archive |
Date: | Tue, 24 Oct 2006 16:37:39 +0200 |
Hello,
We are using the gtar (version 1.13) for creating and updating the backup. For updating we need to delete some files from archive. We are using the delete command in form:
/usr/sfw/bin/gtar vf $GTAR_FILE --delete $FILE_NAME
Unfortunately after execution of this command the Arithmetic Exception will be thrown:
/_deletion.sh: line 21: 21816 Arithmetic Exception (core dumped) /usr/sfw/bin/gtar vf 061020_ds38801a_VAP.gtar $2 --delete
And a lot of messages in form:
/usr/sfw/bin/gtar: Deleting non-header from archive
Will be written in nohup.out.
After this exception the archive is not readable any more!
Have you seen this problem before? What can be the reason for this?
If you have any ideas, could you provide me the answer asap?
For you information I am attaching the core dump to this e-mail.
Regards,
Vladimir Tsvetkov
