[Bug-tar] tar error |

tar version: 1.15.91
I am using Cygwin (see attachment for facts) on an IBM XP home edition.
I had downloaded a file: Majordomo.tar.gz to C:/download
I 'cd'ed to where I wanted the files to go and did a
tar -ztvf C:/download/Majordomo.tar.gz to look at what was in the tar-file.
I got the error message:
$ tar -ztvf C:/download/Majordomo.tar.gz
C: Unknown Host
tar (child): C\:/download/Majordomo.tar.gz: Cannot open: Input/Output error
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
So I changed it to:
tar -ztvf /cygdrive/c/download/Majordomo.tar.gz
AND IT WORED!
I would HOPE that BOTH would work under Cygwin...
Thanks
Mike
PS: I sent this previously my mistake before I was done.
