RE: [Bug-tar] Error 2 from GNU tar 1.1.6

I replaced the FreeBSD ports gtar executable with the tar executable that I
compiled from that source snapshot that you referenced, and I still get the
same problem: 

? gtar: memory exhausted
? gtar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
sendbackup: error [dump (83586) /usr/local/bin/gtar returned 2]
