When doing tar xvf sometarfile, tar 1.25 and 1.26 remove files, and sym links,
before it extract the archive.
Version 1.20 and earlier did not.
I am not sure, I haven't digged into it yet, when the change happened,
somewhere between 1.20 and 1.25.
We now use -k with the new version, but this is a major change in behaviour...
This is a problem for existing scripts where we create symbolic links before
we extract a tar file on top of it (extracting remove the symlinks and replace
them with hard line (from the tar file)).
Is this new behaviour the way it is supposed to be, or is it a bug?
Thanks.
