Seriously, although this topic looks more fit for bug-texinfo than for
bug-tar, you seem to have a very obsolete version of the info viewer and
I'd suggest you to upgrade it, because (all answers below refer to
Texinfo v.4.13) or later:

'?' is quite intuitive, I believe.
