Hello,

I've tried to build GNU tar on a machine with AIX 6.1 where the build directory
is on GPFS. I get the attached errors on make check.

I used xlc_r version 13.1.0.8 to compile, I'm very willing to give additional
information or try out additional tests since I assume most people don't have
access to GPFS.
