Hello, here comes ping on several topics for which I posted some patches/ideas
before; these need to be refreshed a little.

I don't want to kick you to push my changes — what I need now is just hear
which ideas are planned to be used in future and which of them I should
completely scratch and forget. Something like "this seems to be reasonable
but we don't have a time for proper review" or "no, this is not what we want,
probably" would be enough.

  * http://www.mail-archive.com/address@hidden/msg03917.html
  - defect in listing of sparse files of effective size > 8GB

  * http://www.mail-archive.com/address@hidden/msg04052.html
  - --xattrs-include/--xattrs-exclude should imply --xattrs
  - bug in acls/xattrs/selinux listing (comparing against non-zero
    XXX_option is not correct)

  * http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-tar/2012-08/msg00012.html
  - concretely, I'm talking about patch 0005 - the xattrs/selinux/acls
    documentation was not pushed yet, should it be fixed somehow?

  * http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-tar/2013-05/msg00021.html
  - really minor, $RSH should be mentioned in `./configure --help` output

  * http://www.mail-archive.com/address@hidden/msg03800.html
  - multivolume handling fixes, the 0003 patch is important.. probably
    complete proposal needs to be shrunken into 1 patch, should I do it?

  * http://www.mail-archive.com/address@hidden/msg03691.html
  - mostly unnecessarily tl;dr message about --update feature, which is really
    broken ATM. IIRC the code, this needs bigger code change. Should I
    continue to work on that topic and do better proposal, or do you plan to
    fix (or also remove?) --update support yourself?

Thanks a lot for any comment. I would love to be as much useful as
possible with getting some of those ^^ resolved.

Thanks, Pavel
