gives a good overview... try searching in at philips' webpage...

...btw, the main thing missing is the creation of search.dat (or
scandata.dat), as it comes to other details, vcdimager is almost ready for
svcd creation, I've just got to do some finetuning... 
 
I'm planning to have a release ready for christmas, and I'm optimistic,
that it will feature a working svcd support, if you can provide me with
routines to create those scandata.dat and search.dat files...

there was once on shinco.net ... but it was chinese or japan :)

but, please just ask your questions, so jens (more probable, since he
knows much more about the SVCD spec than me) or me (if its' something I've
ready got knowlegde of) can answer (and if you don't want to go through
this mailing list, plz keep me at least in the cc :-)
