The HP Porting center can (is allowed to) build on only two versions of
the HP-UX OS. They currently only build on Itanium2 (HP-UX 11.23 and
11.31) and do not build anything at all anymore on PA-RISC (at least to
my knowledge.

The fact that I see PA-RISC builds on that link makes me wonder if HP
has changed their minds on that issue. They are also lagging behind on
the bigger projects:

 GNU gcc 4.2.3 22 Feb 2008 Current is 4.6.1
 perl 5.10.1 07 Sep 2009 Current is 5.14.1

They obviously *do* have wget and curl pretty actual.
If you look inside the Installation links, you'll notice that all
builds are 32bit builds. One of my points is that on all my OS versions
11.11 and up, all base libs are 64bit, which means that I also need to
build all the libs of the dependency chain myself in 64bit mode. All
our applications that possibly use OSS libraries (like PCRE, openssl,
and libcurl) will need the 64bit libs.

I'll have another look at their build notes and give it a new shot later

I think I am one of the few worldwide who still releases modern OSS for
HP-UX back to 10.20 (see http://mirrors.develooper.com/hpux/)
