We're glad to have you on board with this concept. I implemented a
make-shift Python server through pyftpdlib for Wget sometime ago. However,
that implementation has many flaws. The flaws were always there, however, I
wanted a proof of concept server model first before actually developing

If you were to look at testenv/FTPServer.py, you'd see that the Python
script simply overrides some functions in the actual library. This makes
the code very difficult to follow and extend. Especially at a time when the
original author is not around to work on it. Hence, what we want is that
the FTP Server is completely implemented within the Wget repository and
also that it can be easily extended whenever required.
