Hi,

As many of you are aware, we've been working on Wget2 (aka Wget 2.x) for some time now. We have also been using GitHub in general for collaborating our efforts on Wget2. However, today I'd like to announce that we will instead be moving all our efforts on Wget2 to a new home on GitLab.

GitLab is not only more "free" than GitHub is, but also provides us with a few more features. In particular it gives us access to highly customizable CI options. This allows us to have more control over the environment in which out CI runs as compared to Travis.

Tim has just finished setting up the GNU Wget group[1] on GitLab. We will organize all development for Wget2 under this group. This means that we expect all new bug reports and pull requests to be made on GitLab from now on. We understand that this may be annoying for many users, but the convenience of having more control over such an important aspect of the development process will win over in the long term. We've also finished migrating all the existing issues and PRs from GitHub to our GitLab repositories

Hope to see everyone on GitLab soon!
