Hi,
(Sorry for breaking the mail threading. My mail provider has a problem
with SMTP authentication and i have to use the web interface. Urgh.)
I was not aware of dirsplit in cdrkit. For the same purpose i am
using a project of mine:
http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/main_eng.html
http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/README
It causes more installation effort than dirsplit, but on the other
hand is able to do incremental backups, to verify the resulting media,
and to help with finding particular files in the backup.
http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/examples.html
Blu-ray media are supported by the DVD variation and option -bd
or -bd_dl:
sdvdbackup -bd /images="$HOME"/images /sound="$HOME"/sound -not
"$HOME"/images/ugly
Custom media sizes can be targeted by option -max_size . E.g for
DVD+R DL and BD-R QL:
sdvdbackup -max_size 8000m ...
sdvdbackup -max_size 115g ...
Have a nice day :)
Thomas
