Keyboards thus marked are possibly from Apple? Certainly a PC keyboard
is not thus marked, and "Delete" is a key in the 6-key block to the
right of the main keyboard, which deletes to the right. The Backspace
key tends to have a leftward-pointing arrow on it, or be marked
"Backspace". Actually, I just looked at a MacBook and it has no key
marked delete, and its Backspace key is marked ←. So I am confused...

I agree; could you avoid trailing whitespace, tho'? (After M-Delete.)
