Ha, so it is the case:

    #;1> (case 'a
      ('a 1)
      ('b 2)
      (else #f))

And just to be thorough:

    #;1> (case 'a
      (a 1)
      (b 2)
      (else #f))
Error: (map) during expansion of (case ...) - bad argument type - not a list: a
