There are a couple of ways to monitor the bug reports we are getting.
First you can go to our bug page and try some of the pre-configured
queries: http://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/bugs.html
You can of course also try out your own queries in bugzilla.

Second you can subscribe to bug-classpath and get an email for each new
report and all additional comments:
http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-classpath
If you reply to one of these emails (ReplyTo set to bugzilla) a new
comment will be added to the bug. So this is an easy way to quickly know
which bugs get added and to add additional info if you have it.

Lastly we can add people as "initial owner" of a bug component (like
Julian is now for the gjdoc component). That means that a new bug in for
that category gets automatically assigned to you and that you will get
email about all these bugs (and additional comments).
Currently we only have the following components: awt, cp-tools, gjdoc,
inetlib, swing and a general classpath one. But if you are knowledgeable
of an area and want a new component so you can "own" all the bugs in
that area please say so and we happily add a new component :)
(Although we have to keep eye on not being too specialized, it shouldn't
be terribly confusing for our users to pick the right component to
report a bug against.)

Also note that we have a Target-Milestone field that you can set to 0.19
when you fix a bug that will be fixed when the next release comes out. I
have done that for most bugs I could find last release and that makes it
easy to generate an overview of the bugs fixed in each release:
http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?product=classpath&target_milestone=0.18

Cheers,

Mark
