A simplified variant is now available at: https://github.com/pixelb/coreutils/compare/blake2b https://github.com/pixelb/coreutils/compare/blake2b.patch That as the name suggests removes the --algorithm option and just supports the BLAKE2b digest algorithm. I also changed to auto determining the length when checking non tagged format checksum files. thanks, Pádraig.
