present in coreutils?


I don't have an overview of other GNU-specific options in other tools of coreutils. But I'd guess they add genuine features which cannot accomplished in other ways.

But this feature at hand just seems to be a "convenience" feature. The same can be accomplished with by using of existing features/programs.
