Test results on selected platforms:
* On AIX, the previously reported build failures are gone.
When I exclude the ibm-clang compiler (buggy, like its predecessor xlclang),
I get consistent results:
- On AIX 7.1:
ERROR: tests/rm/rm-readdir-fail
ERROR: tests/cp/nfs-removal-race
ERROR: tests/df/no-mtab-status
ERROR: tests/df/skip-duplicates
ERROR: tests/ls/getxattr-speedup
FAIL: tests/help/help-version
FAIL: [
FAIL: tests/sort/sort-continue
- On AIX 7.3.1:
FAIL: tests/help/help-version
FAIL: tests/sort/sort-continue
FAIL: tests/misc/stdbuf
FAIL: tests/install/basic-1
FAIL: tests/mkdir/p-3
* CentOS 5: The previously reported link errors are gone. Still, 4 test
failures:
FAIL: tests/sort/sort-continue
FAIL: tests/sort/sort-merge-fdlimit
FAIL: tests/cp/attr-existing
FAIL: tests/mv/part-symlink
Same as reported in
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/coreutils/2023-08/msg00066.html
* Alpine Linux 3.14 (on this machine I have perl installed):
FAIL: tests/cp/preserve-mode
(same in both coreutils-9.3.147-d553ab and coreutils-9.3.156-b3afb)
* FreeBSD 13.1/x86_64: All tests pass.
* Cygwin 2.9.0 (on this machine I have perl installed): 8 ERROR and 28 FAIL.
Compared to what I reported in
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/coreutils/2023-08/msg00081.html :
- The same ERRORs.
- Two FAILures are fixed:
FAIL: tests/cksum/b2sum
FAIL: tests/cksum/sm3sum
- tests/cksum/md5sum-bsd still fails, despite the
"tests: avoid false failure on cygwin" commit
