This might be a cause for your problem. Did you merge the proposed
changes (or equivalent ones) into your /etc/ldap/slapd.conf (and other
files)?

And here we see that the error happens in the install-ldap.sh
script. If the first proposed diagnostic was not correct, then please
run "sh -x /usr/lib/sourceforge/bin/install-ldap.sh configure" and
post the results, so that we can see where the problem happens.
