Hello,
Etienne Chouard, on demexp-fr@, proposed[1] an interesting suggestion to
simplify the classification by introducing a kind a hierarchy /inside/
the tag /names/. This could be done as follow:
- use a naming convention on tags so that they are put into a
hierarchy, e.g. "1.1- Rennes";
- on the client side, do pattern matching on tags name to put them in a
TreeView:
+ 1. ...
|
+--1.1 Rennes
In need to look at Lablgtk2's Tree View API to look if this can be done
but it might help a lot in the short term. What do you think of it?
For easier processing, instead of using usual naming, e.g. "1.2-", we
could use a very simple scheme based on ASCII letters: "AB-".
Best wishes,
d.
