Hello,
I need to work more in the web interface of my program (demexp) and I'm
realizing I lack knowledge of recent web technologies (Javascript, CSS,
HTML). I left HTML around 2.0 revision. ;-)
While I can find many examples and references on the web, I lack a good
book to teach me "the big picture", i.e. how to tie all those
technologies together (for example, how to manipulate HTML page through
DOM and Javascript to make those AJAX things on IE and Firefox).
Would users of WDialog have one or more good book to advise for:
- the Javascript language (for a programmer knowing C, OCaml and OO
concepts);
- the joint use of Javascript, DOM, CSS, HTML to make nice, standard
compliant, web interfaces (that work on both modern browsers and old
ones).
Best wishes,
d.
