Details:

the configure script generated by autogen.sh does not check the libfftw3
package. this result in compilation to fail if libfftw3f.la (and related
files) is not in the system.

libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libfftw3f.la' or unhandled
argument `/usr/lib/libfftw3f.la'
