Jeremiah,
I've sent you a new backtrace for another error. Richard's fix works.

More concerning is, when Denemo froze (the new error i've sent) it took Jack with it, and closed the server.
If a user has a multitude of clients connected, then it would be far more desirable, if Denemo stopped(crashed, froze,) to do so  gracefully, leaving the jack server running.

Also, I approve of the changes to prefs, the code will be much more
