I once had a similar problem. I couldn't open a score that I had
imported from MIDI and afterwords edited for approximately half an hour.
The error message was the same that Jim reports. My solution was to
import the MIDI again, but that's not a good one. I can look if I still
have the corrupted file (but I think I have deleted it).
