Follow-up Comment #1, bug #47020 (project denemo):
Well, the Add Staff menu is for commands adding a staff relative to the
current staff, so I think it is in the right place.
There should be something in the Staff Properties menu to transform a staff
into a staff for the given instrument - at the moment there is just one to
change the instrument name, which then doesn't affect the MIDI instrument,
range etc.
