In fact, this downside is inevitable if you want to enter pitches
continuously from the MIDI keyboard without having to switch to the PC
keyboard or mouse to move the cursor back. Consider the attached music -
you can't assume when the first note is played that all the rest of the
tied notes are going to be the same note. So you *have* to play all the
pitches for each of the tied notes. Not a big chore - you just play as
if there were no ties in the music.
