Follow-up Comment #1:
I see a lot of palettes open in both these screenshots - many of these
palettes appear to be custom palettes. If you don't want them to be visible
right click on the and choose Edit This Palette->Hide
If you *do* want them but don't want them to restrict the size of the Display
Window (ie the music you are editing) then you can choose Edit This
Palette->Undock to undock the palette and then place it where you need it (on
a separate monitor if you have two or iconized (minimized) or behind the Main
Window.
You could also reduce the size of the palettes by removing unwanted items from
them, amalgamating them, etc.
But as both screenshots show many palettes perhaps you meant something else?
