At the last DFEY-NW meeting Ben created a nice webpage for the main
DFEY.org landing area. The idea of just having a single page for the
whole of DFEY, and then linking to the websites of different branches
seems to have had a good reception and works well. Stagnation of the
site was a major concern at the time, and I feel that currently this is
an issue that should be looked at.

I would like to propose creating several dynamic elements of the web
page that are automatically updated from the wiki. The list of upcoming
events could be generated from the category of events on the wiki, and
by taking a blurb from the top of the page. Simillarly the DFEY:About
page and list of contact addresses at the bottom of the Main Page could
also be utilised to automatically update the page.

The advantage of this method is that it is far easier to keep the site
updated, and the wiki is generally the definitive information base for

I would be willing to implement this and provide adaquete documentation
if there is general support for this idea. Does anyone have any
alternative proposals?
