If anyone is interested in the 2.4 GHz band, I would suggest the Maxim 2701
Eval Board. It's a direct conversion downconverter with dual AGC, 30 MHz
BW, and takes a 1/2 freq LO. You could use it with I/Q output, or do low IF
and only use one of the 2 channels.
