[Discuss-gnuradio] installing the DAS4020 driver

I am trying to install the DAS4020/12 driver for the first time. I am 
getting some errors. I am wondering if the Linux and gcc versions are 
important? I have redhat Linux 7.3 and gcc 2.96.
I appreciate your responses.
