Found the source. Silly me.

Actually, I'm running an auxiliary little LCD display off of the i2c bus. That was it. Probably bad decoupling on my part.

You shouldn't be hearing any hum.

I use a similar setup all the time with no hum.

Look at the output of your 4937 board with an o'scope and see if the
hum is visible there.
Bad or missing ground someplace?
