I made the same mistake.

If you are not getting the lastest and greatest using cvs
you are making a mistake.  Like you, I had broken code,
and no eeprom burner until I downloaded from the cvs
servers.

I searched all directories. however i couldn't find
burn-basic-eeprom file. There is only
burn-usrp2-eeprom file. Can you guys tell me where can
i find that file. 

I'm using tar ball version usrp-0.7.
