KD7LMO has excellent instructions on how to build to a non global libraries, etc. This prevents disruption of things that depend on the base install versions. I know, it finally took a reinstall to straighten my mess out.


and pay special attention to the "baseline" install instructions.

Or rebuild with the source RPM with a pretty simple 'rpmbuild --rebuild' command (with a few --define options required for a clean build). I do that often, since CentOS4/RHEL4 isn't a default supported distribution for wxPython.

Laziness is the number one inspiration for ingenuity.  Guilty as charged!
