We found that 1 Mb/s reception was fairly reliable and that 2 Mb/s was not. I would suggest that you log all the bits and then compare them to the bits as received by a regular receiver and see how far off they are. The CRC being different just means they are different - it doesn't let you distinguish between 1 or 2 bits off and half of them being off. There might well be bugs in the 2 Mb/s code.
