[Discuss-gnuradio] Magnitude == RSSI?

I've noticed that some dboards have RSSI sensors while others don't.Since I'm using a SBX (rev 3) which doesn't seem to have such a sensor,I'm wondering if it's also correct to use the magnitude of the samplesas an indicator for the RSS or is this value somehow "distorted"?
