Sorry for the belated reply!
Yes it says 6GHz on the uhd_usrp_probe but i was just surprised given that the website said its limit was 5.9GHz.

I see probe printing 2.4 to 6.0. Maybe you are looking at a different
board? Can you send the output of uhd_usrp_probe.

Probably a design recommendation from maxim, or something we empirically
determined.
