Les is building on a Pentium III system, which likely will be no end of 
grief, even if he has the patience to wait for the compile to finish.

A PIII system is waaaay underpowered for doing anything with Gnu Radio, 
and the fact that the longest compile stage hadn't finished after
  24 hours is a clue that it'll be almost useless actually running Gnu 
Radio.
